On Thursday 4th May we are holding “How to Revise” sessions for Y11 learners and their parents/carers.

There are 2 sessions to choose from and we will guide parents/carers through revision strategies that their children could use and how as a parent, you can be involved in revision to help them.

After the sessions, parents/carers will have practical knowledge of things like using flashcards, testing from the revision guide and making an exam timetable.

  • Session 1: 4-5pm
  • Session 2: 5:30-6:30pm

The sessions will take place in our ALC (Accelerated Learning Centre).  A letter will be sent to parents/carers with further details.

Tyler Garwood remembered

On Tuesday 25th April 2017, we marked the first anniversary of the day our learner, Tyler Garwood, tragically passed away.

As Tyler was a passionate and talented sportsman, staff and learners were encouraged to wear a football top or bright clothing in exchange for a donation to Meningitis Now. It was fantastic to see so many people around school showing their support.

We were honoured to also have Tyler's family visit us and to celebrate his life with a ceremony at the memorial bench we installed last summer.

Newcastle City Council Annual Report

The Newcastle City Council Annual Report has been published and you might just recognise a few of the photos that celebrate the outstanding achievements our school has made this year.

This annual report is an opportunity to reflect on both the current position of schools in Newcastle and the impact of the local authority on education across the city.

Fostering & Adoption

Fostering is a way of providing safety and stability to a vulnerable child when they most need it.

If you have a spare room as well as the time and energy to support a child, you could foster.

Road Safety

The roads around our school are very busy and during the winter months when mornings and evenings are darker, everyone should be taking extra care when using the roads.
