SAFEGUARDING

Safeguarding

Our Trust is committed to Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of all of its learners and everyone working in or for our school shares an objective to help keep children and young people safe by:

To meet our commitment we have a whole school safeguarding policy and additional advice leaflets for both learners and adults.

These policies provide clear direction to staff and others about expected codes of behaviour in dealing with safeguarding issues. The policies also aim to make explicit the Trust's commitment to the development of good practice and sound procedures.

The purpose of the policies is, therefore, to ensure that Safeguarding concerns and referrals are handled sensitively, professionally and in ways that support the needs of the child's wellbeing.

We also strictly follow the Statutory guidance for schools and colleges (.pdf) issued by the Department for Education.

If you have a Safeguarding issue

Safeguarding training for Staff

Every member of staff at our school receives mandatory Safeguarding training as part of their induction when they join us and also a yearly refresher. Around school we also display information for Staff to remind them of our ongoing commitments and the routes to report any issues.
