Our Trust is committed to Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of all of its students and everyone working in or for our school shares an objective to help keep children and young people safe by:
- providing a safe environment for children and young people to learn and develop in our school setting, and
- identifying children and young people who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm, and taking appropriate action with the aim of making sure they are kept safe both at home and in our school setting
To meet our commitment we have a whole school safeguarding policy and additional advice leaflets for both students and adults.

These policies provide clear direction to staff and others about expected codes of behaviour in dealing with safeguarding issues. The policies also aim to make explicit the Trust's commitment to the development of good practice and sound procedures.
The purpose of the policies is, therefore, to ensure that Safeguarding concerns and referrals are handled sensitively, professionally and in ways that support the needs of the child's wellbeing.
We also strictly follow the Statutory guidance for schools and colleges (.pdf) issued by the Department for Education.
If you have a Safeguarding issue
Contact should be made immediately with the Designated Persons for our school or our Nominated Governor. Safeguarding issues can also be addressed to the Chair of Governors.
